Charco del Palo - Naturist - Accommodation - Information - Lanzarote

Girls on the Wall 2

Welcome to Lanzarote one of seven islands that make up the archipelago of the Canary Islands. If this is your first visit to our site, then "Welcome", we hope you enjoy your first look and will check up on us every so often to see whats happening in Charco del Palo and Lanzarote. This web site is designed to help you find nude/naturist holiday accommodation in Charco del Palo and Lanzarote.   Charco del Palo is situated in the north of Lanzarote just before you get to Arrieta and is probably the only village of its kind in the world where naturists come to holiday and where we, and a lot of other people live the naturist lifestyle all year round.  We have no gates, no security, just drive down the road from Mala and there we are.

Reduced price for Casa Austria

IMG_1472

Its normally quite in Charco del Palo during the summer months and this is the time I normally ask the owners if they are prepared to reduce there prices by a few euros.  Anita has agree and from now until the end of August you can stay at her small villa complex for just 55€ per night per couple. (+plus 55€ one off cleaning charge)  Casa Austria is a very well maintained property with just three apartments plus the owners.  Casa Austria has a very large swimming pool which at this time of the year should be very swimmable, there are plenty of sunbeds, umbrellas, garden furniture plus the surround of the pool has been astro turfed, so no hot tiles to burn your feet as you leave the pool.  The gardens are well kept and walled on all sides to give some protection from the wind which has been know to blow at bit here in Lanzarote !     All sunbathing and shower towels are provided so this cuts down on your luggage and lets face it you haven’t got to bring much on a naturist holiday.

It’s gonna be another HOT one today

So this is the temperature at 8.45am on Tuesday 15th May here in little old Charco del Palo, I hate to think what its going to be like by midday!!  Hopefully there’ll be lots of cool refreshing beers being drunk on the Naturist terrace at Peter’s Pub, see you there this arvo !

Funny Thing

Yesterday (11th May) it was the most beautiful day in Charco del Palo, warm with a nice breeze blowing through.  I opened Peter’s Pub as normal at 12 midday and no sooner had I opened the doors when the guy who cleans the beer engine arrived.  A few minutes later four middle aged people walked into the bar asking for beers which unfortunately I couldn’t serve to them.  It was their first visit to Charco del Palo so I suggested that they take a walk around and return in about 20minutes when the

Just at the end of the car park at Centro Comercial in Charco del Palo was a small but very overgrown garden of sorts. Well the Ayuntamiento, (that’s the town hall in Haria to you and me) has taken upon itself to not only tidy up the gardens but install four pieces of keep fit equipment. The project is yet to be finished but we all have high hopes of something useful and nice looking in the village, and I must say its not before time. I will keep you posted if and when it gets completed!

Mrs Lanzarote

lili Mrs Lan

Lili who works for Reiner at Peter’s Pub was approached a couple of months ago and asked if she would like to take part in the Mrs Lanzarote 2012 competition which is being held at the Costa Calero four star Hotel in Puerto Calero.   Lili decided to give it a go not realising what a roller coaster ride it would turn out to be.  The competition is open to ladies aged between 30 and 48yrs and Lili is now one of the last sixteen ladies in the competition. Each weekend since the start there has been different things for Lili to experience, i.e salsa lessons, learning how to walk the walk in 12cm heels! that's scary!  photo shoots at various locations around the island, TV interviews and this weekend all sixteen ladies are going on a boat trip and photo shoot.  The big Gala night is being held on the 26th May at the Costa Calero Hotel.  All the girls who work for Reiner at Peter’s Pub and some residents are going along with their partners, Oh and Reiners coming too!! for the Gala Evening and most of us are staying overnight.  It just leaves me to say

Duck Pond Improvements

IMG_1208-w800-h600

The Duck Pond which sits just below the old Romantica Restaurant in Charco del Palo is not looking its best at the moment, but……….   permission has been given from the Ayuntamiento to do improvements to the steps/path that lead from road level to the Duck Pond.  We are all hopeful that further work in and around the Duck Pond will follow. will let you know what’s happening if and when I hear anything.

La Tunera Apartments

IMG_1181-w800-h600You probably don’t know but La Tunera Restaurant has four holiday apartments within its grounds.  Jenny and Dirk are now in the process of bringing them up to date with a few new furnishings and equipment.  The apartments are pretty much open plan, but as you can see from the photos there is a screen between the bedroom area and lounge/diner/kitchen.  The bathroom has a walk-in shower with tiled shelf to the side for shampoo etc. there is a pedestal wash basin and toilet.  For those who like a lot of space at night you’ll be happy with the very large bed.  There is a big comfy sofa in the lounge along with coffee table and TV.  (I’m not sure of the channels but would think it is probably mostly German, sorry!).  There is a small sunny terrace at the back of each apartment.

Studio apartment 45€ a night

If you are looking for good value accommodation then I can now offer a studio apartment for 45€ per night.  The two studio apartments have been built on top of the owners house and offer beautiful views of the sea, Charco del Palo and the volcano's behind.  There is a large shared terrace for the two studios with sunbeds, table and chairs etc.  Each studio has everything needed to make your self catering holiday complete, but why worry about cooking when you have such great value meals at

For Sale - Tropical Jardin Restaurant

Inside area Jardin Tropical-w800-h600

As I mentioned in a previous blog The Tropical Jardin  restaurant has closed and we all assumed that the new owner was taking over at the end of March.  Unfortunately for Daisy and Frank the Canarian guy who was up for taking it on backed out at the last moment leaving them with no chef and an empty restaurant. When I say empty, I mean all the booze had been taken out, all the food disposed of, everything cleaned and tidied ready for the new owner.   To add to the frustration of the whole situation Frank has been very poorly with gall bladder problems and has been in and out of hospital for the past two weeks.  Anyhow, as far as Daisy and Frank are concerned they are ready to move on so the Traspasa  (lease to you and me) is up for sale.
