Charco del Palo.
What does Charco del Palo Naturist village have to offer the holiday maker. If peace and quiet are top of your list then you will have no trouble finding plenty of that here. If you enjoy walking nude then maybe take a walk out over the dunes towards Arrieta or to Los Cocoteros, remember to take something to put on when you reach your destination ! Arrieta is above 8km away but a nice walk if you take your time and there is a nice beach where you can swim and even a beach bar making the walk worthwhile.
In Charco del Palo there are three main places for swimming, The Duck Pond, The Monkey Rocks and The Rock Pool. The Duck Pond was built when the village came into being, its not my favourite spot to swim but if you are nervous about swimming in the ocean then its a safe bet. The Monkey Rocks are down some steps and there are two ladders which are there for your benefit, its a great place to swim but be warned it is deep. If you are a diver this is a very popular spot for the islands schools.
The Rock Pool is at the right end of the beach path, its been added to over the years mainly by a German man and wife who spend most of there holidays laying concrete for people to lay on. Its a great spot and when the tide is full the Rock Pool fills and is a great spot for checking out the fish and swimming.
There are several place to eat and enjoy the local tapas and wines of Lanzarote. Restaurant/Bars in the village, Reiners Pub, and The Jardin Tropical, Oböna Cafeteria, and all are excellent and do specials on various nights, check the links for more information.
We have a small supermarket situated within Centro Comercial next door to Reiners Pub, it has all the basics plus fruit & veg so please use it as it would be a shame to see it close due to lack of trade.
