I just wanted to give you some information about our supermarket in Charco del Palo. It really is well stocked with goods and very reasonable prices as well. Bread of all sorts is baked fresh every day, there is fresh meat in the chiller cabinet along with all the different cheeses, ham, yogurts etc. If you fancy a read you can buy a daily newspaper, puzzle books, and periodicals. Wine and beer prices are excellent, in fact I bought a bottle of wine in there the other day and it was cheaper than Eurospar. Check out the photos below, they should give you an idea of the type of provisions you can buy while on holiday in our lovely little naturist village of Charco del Palo.
Open everyday Monday to Saturday 8am till 6pm Sunday 8am till 4pm
Unfortunately the weather in any holiday resort cannot be guaranteed so when we do get a rainy miserable day "What do you do"? If you've been to Lanzarote several times before then the chances are you have visited all the major tourist attractions and seen most of the island so what does that leave. Yes, Retail Therapy, now I know all you men are getting really excited at the prospect of going shopping but you know you have to spoil us now and again. So where to go, I would suggest the Deiland Shopping Centre which is just off the main dual carriageway as you leave the airport. To get to the Deiland Shopping Centre from Charco del Palo just follow the road to the airport, take the slip off the circunvalación onto the dual carriageway. Drive past the petrol station (on your right) then take the slip road on your right. You will see the Deiland Shopping centre on your left, so its easy now, just follow the road down to the roundabout, go under the dual carriageway and back on your self. The entrance to the underground parking is round the back of the building.
The shopping centre has recently been revamped and has lots of new retail outlets which include Planet, H & M, Cortefiel, Stradivarius, Sport Zone, Women'secrect, Lefties, Body Shop, Springfield, Worten (electrical), Orange, Caledonia, (Shoes), Carolina Boix (shoes), ( did I mention shoes!!) Canada House (childrens wear up to 16yrs), Casio Shop (e cigs), Cucumber (fashion/accessories) to name just a few. If you are looking for food then the choice is pretty good from something as basis as Burger King to Sushi at Kokoxili, or El Mordisquito for beer, tapas and Terrazzo Liquid for Music, tapas, beer wine etc.
For the children there is a Parque Infantil and for grown ups there Brunswick Bowling or the Cine which I believe is shown in languages other than spanish on particular nights. I will try and find more information about this from my friend.
If you fancy a bit of pampering then you can visit Andrés Barber Shop Peluqueros (Hairdressers) and have a change of style.
So there you have it, the centre is open Monday to Saturday 10 - 22hrs Sunday 11 - 21hrs. There is free parking for three hours, then charges are incurred.
