It seems like forever they started on the new road around Arrecife and daily it changes from one side of the road to another. Ok they have to do this so that other parts of the road can be finished but it is a serious pain in the rear regions when trying to help people with directions. Even old hands at finding Charco del Palo are finding themselves sometimes in Costa Teguise, so imagine what its like for a person who has never been here before or even worse there baptism of driving on the opposite side of the road. The only saving grace is that the light at the end of the tunnel is a large cold beer at Reiners Pub, or two!
It is always amazing that July/August can be so quiet here in Charco del Palo when all the main resorts like Puerto del Carmen, Costa Teguise and Playa Blanca are bursting at the seams. But then along comes September and things improve dramatically to the extent that we are now getting people wanting a week in October and we can't find a seafront apartment for them.
So just a reminder to get in touch now, don't leave it too long.
