I just received news from Yann and Samira that they are also on holiday in July. They close the Jardin Tropical on the 4th July 2019 for one month.
When they reopen in August their opening hours are as follows.
Open for Lunch from 12 midday close at 15hrs then open again at 17hrs for sundowners and dinner
They are closed all day Friday.
While I was talking with Yann and Samira I asked about the Naturist Dinner and they confirmed that they will start it again in September but it will be on a Monday evening, so best keep a look out if you are visiting us during this month.
With the Jardin Tropical and Cueva Paloma both closed for most of July you might think that you will have no where to have dinner, but do not despair, Lili`s Bar in Charco del Palo opens every day at 17hrs till late, closed all day Thursday.
At the top of the road in Mala you have the Arepera Bar and the Don Quijote. The Don Quijote has recently had a revamp and is packing in the punters, they have live band nights most weeks and are getting a good reputation. Further down the road heading towards Arreita you have our favourite watering hole and that's the Cantina. Alex has lots of ideas to encourage you to visit his bar and I will be doing a separate blog giving you all this information in the next few days.
Enjoy your summer holidays where ever you are Wendy x
As previous years the supermarket in Charco del Palo has reduced its opening hours during the summer period. I would assume that these new hours will last till at least the end of August.

Wednesday and Thursday Opens at 08.30hrs and closes at 14hrs.

I have just had this news from Alex who runs the Cantina in Mala. Great news for all visitors to Charco del Palo and friends of Reiner's who have missed out on their rib night on Wednesday's.
Reiner is cooking ribs at the Cantina de Mala every Wednesday evening from 18hrs and its still "All you can eat" Yummy, love those ribs, looking forward to trying them out again.
13.95€ for a plate full of food.
Once people hear about this it will get booked very quickly so please pop in and make a reservation.
See you there
Jardin Tropical offers you a nice naturist friendly garden where you can pass a few hours with friends enjoying a cool beer and snacks. Opens at midday closes at 15hrs then opens again at 17hrs for pre dinner drinks and of course dinner.
Closed all day Friday
Closed for holidays 23 May till 13 June 2019 and again 4th July for the whole month.
Naturist dinners will start again in September and will be on a Monday evening.
Lili's Bar Charco del Palo - Lili is on holiday at the moment till the end of the month but she has promised to update me of menu, opening hours etc on her return.
Cueva Paloma Charco del Palo - I have asked for an update of opening times etc but am still waiting a reply.
Cantina de Mala - Opens 17hrs till late till the end of June. (Hours may change for July and August, I will keep you updated)
Closed all day Tuesday.
Every Thursday starting 30th May there will be a "Warm up for the Weekend" evening. Alex hopes to have live music for these events. Check out the facebook page for Cantina de Mala.
At the moment Gian Luca, rock guitarist and singer is not playing on Sundays, but he will return soon.
I have also heard whisper that there could be a Wednesday night special of Barbecue Ribs, all you can eat, I think that may sound familiar to many people. Again I will keep you posted.
Don Quijote Bar and Restaurant in Mala has also had a revamp. The outside parking has been tidied and look out for the jousting poles as you drive in or out of Charco del Palo. Mark the owner often has live music and is pulling in the crowds on these events. We need more venues like this, I for one love to listen to live music so look forward to seeing future bands that Mark has earmarked.
Arepera Bar in Mala just seems to get it right, the steaks are good, the glasses of wine plentiful and Maria and Jose always have a warm smiling welcome for friends and new guests.
