I am fairly sure that its almost to the day that we had another massive weather system that crossed the Canaries a number of years ago called Storm Delta. I am not sure if todays storm has been given a name but i can think of a few, probably best not printed but when we get them they do cause quite a bit of disruption. The above pictures particulally the ones with the clouds are totally genuine, although they are taken, one in Arrecife and two whilst on the Circunvalacion just as it was getting dark last evening. I can vouch for both pictures as I saw the cloud myself but did not have my camera to hand at the time.
The third picture I took not 30 minutes ago, its a German registered freighter in ballast staying very close to the shoreline and I mean close, going North probably to shelter in the bay of Arrieta.
When the weather is like this you do feel for people who are here on holiday but it never fails to amaze me that during the break in the rain where I took the picture of the boat I noticed a few hardy souls sin roper wandering along the coastline.
I've come here to get naked so why not, even if it's raining it's still warm.
Good on them I say!
